hAt Mullacott our horses are not your run of the mill riding school horses. They are all very special to us and therefore we try to keep our horses lives as happy as possible. We do this in a variety of ways.

Our horses live in large herds on many acres of pasture. The horses feel more secure and happy in themselves as the are able to live a more "natural" life.

Our horses spend as much time as they can living outside. This keeps the healthier and happier rather than spending all their time in a stable.

All the horses we breed are weaned naturally at a year old.

We use natural horsemanship principles where possible.

Our horses regularily have their teeth able and backs done to keep them comfortable and happy in their work.

Our horses have "cair" air filled saddles and gel filled neoprene girths, to keep them as comfortable as possible.

We don't get rid of our horses, if they can no longer do the work that is required of them. If we can't find them a brilliant home to enjoy their twilight years, then they stay with us for their retirement.
